Eisen voor reanimatie en EHBO voor kinderopvang
First Aid & CPR Senegal
Early-childhood structures follow a holistic approach to child development, but daycare centres themselves are neither regulated nor standardised, and no first-aid obligation is established for their staff. Absent a strict statutory mandate, the reasonably expected standard remains that of adults trained in first aid for the very young. Training is therefore a matter of responsibility as much as it is a way of anticipating the oversight still to come.
Anafylaxie en medicatietoediening
Epinephrine auto-injectors are not distributed on a national scale and depend on importation, and no rule requires daycares to keep them. The most reliable protection therefore rests on staff who can quickly recognise a severe allergic reaction, call for help without delay, and administer any prescribed medication — with the parents' written consent — kept out of children's reach.
Faced with a small child who is choking or has lost consciousness, everything is decided in the first seconds, and it is the adult present who makes the difference long before help arrives. Training in first aid and CPR turns alarm into controlled, practised action and offers families genuine confidence. A recognised, standards-based certification reflects a commitment to safety that neither the law nor parents will have to demand.
